Portland Area HELP Group
HELP is: A self-help group, an
information resource and a support provider.
A HELP Group's focus is to assist
people with herpes in adjusting to the virus. A HELP Group is a place to
talk, listen, gain knowledge and education about the virus and move
forward with our lives. All too often, people with herpes feel that they
must "go it alone." Through the HELP Group meetings, however,
many people find that discussing herpes with others can make things
easier emotionally, mentally and sometimes physically. Should you choose
to attend a HELP meeting, please be assured that we practice complete
confidentiality for folks that do attend our meetings. How much you
choose to disclose during discussions or choose to participate is
completely up to you, and kept confidential. So, if you have herpes or
are affected by the virus in some way, we invite you to join us.
The Portland Area
HELP Group meets on the first Friday of each month from
7:30-9pm. You do not have to register or call in advance to
attend, just show up.
